Training

We recognise that for our clients the most important people in our organisation are the care and support workers with whom have regular contact with. Our staff have a wide range of qualifications, and we are committed to providing continuous training and development to provide care of the highest standard.  We believe this aim is best met by having highly motivated and professional team members who are aware of their legal, ethical obligations, and health and safety requirements.

The range of training that is provided to all staff includes:

  • Refresher courses,
  • Supervision sessions,
  • Care Team meetings,
  • Direct observations,
  • Best practice discussions
  • Shadowing visits to Clients,

Our training is designed to keep carers aware of best practices and all legislation changes. Within 12 weeks of employment with Chenai Holistic all employees are required to complete the Home Care Worker Induction Programme, which includes six mandatory courses:

  • Common Induction Standards.
  • Moving and Handling for Beginners Care Worker Handbook.
  • Chenai Holistic Policies and Procedures.
  • Health and Safety at Work.
  • Food and Hygiene.

Every client has unique, individual requirements and our support workers are encouraged to take training courses specific to their service users' health conditions to enable them to take care of all of their needs.
